Held on the second Friday of every month, Second Watch is a time of praise & worship, and prayer. The River band, Cross Current, leads the praise & worship; while Lead Pastor Bob Swanger calls the gathering to prayer. Second Watch is driven by the premise of church members participating in prayer and intercession.

Second Watch is also when baptisms are performed at The River. Many people from young children to mature elders have been baptized in the hayloft of the The River barn. Family members and friends are always encouraged to come support their loved ones at this special and precious moment in their lives.

Everyone is invited to attend Second Watch, but members are especially encouraged to make room in their schedules to come. Life is very busy and often full of surprises, however, it is important to the spiritual health of the church to come together and really participate in this intimate with God.
