Gods calling on Awana (www.awana.org) is to use the Bible as the bedrock tool for raising kids who know, love and serve Jesus Christ. The River Community Church is proud to host a weekly Awana program each Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We offer the Sparks (K-2nd grade) and Truth and Training (3rd-5th grade) programs.


A recent national survey (www.awana.org/alumnistudy) found Awana to be as important to alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in Awana programs for at least six years, 92.7% still attend church at least weekly as adults.

Awana provides an opportunity for children to memorize scripture at their own pace and in a fun and safe environment. Each meeting we also feature a short children's message and game time for attendees.

Children who attend leave excited about learning God's word and fellowshipping with other believers. It is a seeker-friendly environment which we encourage the Sparks and Truth and Trainers to bring their non-Christian friends to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Awana begins the first Wednesday in September and runs through the end of April.
