Pastor Bob was raised in a Christian home and his father was a very successful pastor and evangelist who traveled worldwide. At the age of 13, Pastor Bob gave his life to Christ and lived the average teenager's life. His Sophmore year in college he made a decision for Jesus to be his Lord in addition to Savior and it was at this point he knew he was called into the ministry.

He attend Ashland Theological Seminary (a part of Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio) and obtained his Mater of Divinity degree in 1983. He completed the three-year course in two years while maintaining a high academic performance. He returned to Ashland and received a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1989. During his undergraduate work at Wilmington College he was named to the Who's Who in America's Colleges and Universities.

Pastor Bob began his full time ministry at Thurmont United Methodist Church in Thurmont, Maryland as a youth pastor in 1983. After one year he received and accepted a call to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio. He spent seven years as youth pastor/worship leader and his ministry grew significantly. He was a vital part of the building team that put together Christ the King's (now Polaris Christian) new campus on the Polaris development in North Columbus.

Pastor Bob received a call to the Rock Church in York, Pennsylvania and the church grew from 50 to 180 in less than two years. The church was doing so well the senior pastor decided to "unretire."

After much prayer and investigating calls in Moline, Illinois and Bradenton, Florida, Pastor Bob planted the River Community Church in Delaware County. The River has grown into a significant ministry in Delaware County.

Pastor Bob was a four-year letterman in varsity tennis at number one singles and doubles at Wilmington College and team MVP. He was the Ashland County Tournament Champion in singles and doubles and the team champ (at number one position) of the Ashland City Team Tennis League. He played in the Worthington NCAA Sanctioned Basketball League.

Pastor Bob is a dedicated family man and has been married to his beautiful wife, Debbie, for twenty-six years. They have seven great children: Kristie (24), Katie (22), Kellie (20), Karlie (17), Kammie (13), Bobby (12), and Benji (9).
